The play “Live! With Pascale & Chantal” is a high-energy parody on Lebanese talk shows and culture; an East clashes with West outrageous exploration of everything from sex, politics and family. “Live! With Pascale & Chantal” was first performed as a 15-minute comedy sketch at the New York Arab-American Comedy Festival in 2003, and was expanded to a full hour show for The New York International Fringe Festival in 2004. Its original cast included Leila Gazale, Jana Zeeneddine, Sami Mitwasi, Lena Rizkallah, Demond Robertson, Afaf Shawwa, Ryan Shrime, Tamar Vezirian and director Maha Chehlaoui. The stars and co-writers of the show, Jana Zeineddine and Leila Ghazale, are preparing to tour the Middle East - starting with Amman Jordan in late 2009 - Watch this space! |
